Home To Stay was founded in the mid 90’s by Elizabeth “Pat” Adams R.N. in Yarmouth Port. She had been frustrated by the lack of quality care available for her own parents after their retirement to Cape Cod. Pat started a company that would help seniors stay in their homes while providing piece of mind to their families. Home To Stay is now the oldest privately held senior care provider on the Cape.

Over the years, as the company grew and new professionals were added to the staff, HTS developed a reputation for nurturing and compassionate care. In fact, Pat did little advertising and relied primarily upon referrals to grow her business. HTS now services every community on Cape Cod and the Islands.

Recently, Pat lost a decade long battle with cancer and left HTS to her two sons. Having witnessed the extraordinary care their mother received in her final weeks from her own staff at HTS, they committed to continuing her vision to provide quality, heartfelt care to seniors who wanted to remain in familiar surroundings as their mother had. Continuing that vision also serves as a way to give back to the community for which their mother cared so much and to build upon her legacy. A seasoned, Cape-based management team was recruited, carefully screened caregivers were employed and most importantly, the word of mouth referral method — so effective on Cape Cod — has brought in many new clients.

Home To Stay has a bright future and owes that future to the talented, caring people — especially our founder — that brought it to this place.
